Description
Pie in the Plaza is a public festival celebrating food and farming in Surrey. Come out and take a bite out of BC’s largest blueberry pie! There will be a variety of fun and educational activities to participate in throughout the festival:
- Free pie will be served to the first 1000 guests at noon
- Petting zoo filled with goats, sheep, rabbits and chickens
- Learn about where your food comes from and the importance of agriculture in Surrey at the Delilah the Cow exhibit
- Heritage Hangout featuring Historic Stewart Farm and the Surrey Archives will be showcasing farming and farm life in early Surrey through interactive games, puzzles, crafts and conversations.
- Tractors, rope making & more!
- Fishy fun activities that make the connection between fish, food and farms
- Seed Planting
- Honeybee Centre will be present to teach all about the important role of honeybees
- Squirmy worms and bugs will be on-site, teaching you all about how our friends keep the soil healthy
- Farm Fun photobooth
