It’s a big year to be Canadian! And there is no shortage of family friendly celebrations. Music, fireworks, BBQs, parades and more! Here’s the Kid Approved round up of all that’s happening in Surrey, Delta and White Rock.
Kid Approved Guide to Canada Day
The City of Surrey will be hosting the largest Canada Day celebration in Western Canada! Check out performances by Hedley, activities for all ages, a huge fireworks finale, a Canada 150 Zone, midway rides, bouncy castles, games and more! From a Strawberry Tea for senior to the Canada 150 Kids Zone, this is truly an all ages event. Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre, 6386 176 Street, Surrey. 10:00-10:30.

The Kirkland House in Ladner hosts an annual Canada Day event in a truly historical setting. Enjoy performances by the Delta Police Pipe Band, rides, games, races, a silk zoo, spinning and weaving demonstrations and antique tractors. Kirkland House, 4140 Arthur Drive, Delta. From 12:00-4:00.
The Tsawwassen Lions Club is celebrating Canada Day at Diefenbaker Park with entertainment, hot dogs, face painting and birthday cake of course! Diefenbaker Park, Corner of 56th & 1st, Tsawwassen. From 10:00-1:00.
For some evening festivities, stop by Chalmers Park in North Delta. Fireworks will wrap up the evening, but a BBQ, music and kid friendly activities will run evening long. Don’t forget a picnic blanket! Chalmers Park, 11400 76A Avenue, North Delta. Event from 5:30- 10:45.
The annual Canada Day by the Bay celebration spans the White Rock shoreline from West beach to East beach. Join the family sandcastle contest, shop the vendor booths, check out the Kids’ Zone and enjoy live music. Wrap up the day with a bang with the fireworks. White Rock Beach, from 10:00-10:30.
