- Topping the list is the iconic Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair. This not-to-be missed four day event is crammed full with entertainment, a parade, midway & rides, the classic rodeo and loads of other family fun.
- Don’t miss Discover Saturday: Ready to Rodeo at the Surrey Museum as part of the rodeo experience. This interactive experience includes music, crafts, dress up, lassoing, knot tying, barrel racing and even a scavenger hunt!
- Discover the fairy-tale forest hidden in Redwood Park. Wander amongst the large forest of exotic trees, stroll the nature trail and play at the playground. Don’t forget to look for the fairy houses!
- On Monday, May 21, celebrate the Queen’s birthday with a Royal Victorian Tea Party at the Historic Stewart Farm. This free, all-ages event includes costumery, cake and music.
- Grab an ice cream in White Rock’s family-friendly East Beach. Try Crazy Cows for fun decor and Sandcastle Sea Shoppe for a retro vibe and beach supplies. Or Spiritual Ingredients for nut-free, vegan and gluten-free options.
- Participate in the 20th annual Surrey Environmental Extravaganza on May 20. Check out the multiple events around the city from bees to bogs and birding, guided nature walks and outdoor play.
- “Let’s all fly a kite!” Grab a favourite kite and head to Centennial Beach, consistently ranked as one of the top flying spots in Greater Vancouver.
- Then stop by Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl for the coolest, underwater themed bowling experience in Vancouver.
- Buy local at one of three famers markets. Saturday May 20 check out Tsawwassen Famers Market. On Sunday May 21 pop by the North Delta Famers Market or the White Rock Farmers Market.
- Get a multicultural arts experience at the Tagore Spring Festival. Enjoy poetry, dance and music from artists with diverse cultural backgrounds.
