Start the day at the Historic Stewart Farm. Tucked away down a tree lined driveway off Crescent Road, this destination authentically tells the story of the Stewart family, early pioneers to Surrey farming. The homestead, barn and grounds depict rural life around the turn of the century. The Stewart Farm hosts many regular events and offers drop in tours with crafts and a dress up station. It is a fascinating peek into history and a beautiful setting for the kids to run around and explore old-time farm life.
Or for those littles who love to learn about everything that creeps, crawls, slithers and slides, Urban Safari Rescue Society is a dream come true. This not-for-proft group is dedicated to rescuing exotic animals and educating kids about these fascinating creatures. For the budding herpetologist, try a drop in tour. They care for over 350 rescued animals from 125 different species. Full of fun facts and amazing animal stories, their guides will walk you through the different species and share their knowledge. Don’t miss the Bug Lab!
Eat
Then head down to Hooked Fish Bar at Crescent Beach for some lunch. Grab fish and chips to go for a beach picnic, or eat in and enjoy the views of the bay from the large patio. With reasonably priced kids options and enough variety to satisfy an adult palate, this is a very family friendly eatery.

For an afternoon activity, try heading to lovely Redwood Park. The littles will discover plenty of magic, with a full sized treehouse and a fairy garden! This delightful secret is a lovingly tended collection of fairy houses, fairy doors and hidden enchantment.
