Kid Approved Guide to July Events

Summer is here! And now that the excitement of Canada 150 has passed, you might be looking for something to do. Here’s a round up of July events in Surrey, Delta & White Rock to keep you going all month.

Kid Approved Top Ten in July

  1. The Tour de Delta is part of BC Superweek with intense pro races. But don’t miss the family friendly kid & youth races and Community Festivals all weekend long, July 7-9. Kids can warm up the course and enter to win a brand new bike. 
  2. Theatre Under the Stars runs July 14, 21, and 28 The Shops at Morgan Crossing and offers an outdoor movie experience with box office favourites like Beauty and the Beast. Don’t forget the blankets!
  3. Head to the Honey bee Centre to check out the annual Honeybee Festival, July 15 & 16. Learn about bees & beekeeping, taste honey, hit the Kidz Zone and be awed by the bee beard.
  4. Enjoy some live music at the iconic White Rock Pier with the TD Concerts at the Pier series, July 15, 20 and 27.
  5. Amazing racing can be found at The Tour De White Rock July 15 & 16, and the very fun Kids Zone. Join in the bike parade, kids’ races and family activities.
  6. The Surrey Fusion Festival brings together the many cultures, heritages and communities that make up Surrey into one big celebration full of music & food. It’s a not-to-be-missed event, July 22 & 23. 
  7. The Boundary Bay Airshow will thrill kids of all ages, and grown ups too! This free admission airshow features a spectacular line up on July 22.
  8. Whether looking for a fitness goal or just a new route for the weekend run, check out Jog for the Bog through picturesque Burns Bog on July 23. Kids will love the pancake breakfast and live entertainment. 
  9. The young royal won’t want to miss the White Rock Princess Party, with games, activities, dress up, and most exciting of all – live performances by real-life princesses! July 29, Centennial Arena.
  10. The Metis Celebration is a great opportunity to learn about Metis culture and food at the Surrey Museum on July 29.
