Diwali is India’s Festival of Lights. And beautiful celebrations honouring this event are happening in all three communities. Check out Diwali Downtown Surrey on October 1. In White Rock, the day-long Diwali Integration is happening in Semiahmoo Park, October 7. Or Celebrate Diwali on October 15 at the North Delta Rec Centre.

Farmer’s Markets

It’s not too late for local Famers’ Markets. Both the North Delta and White Rock Farmers’ Markets run Sundays through October.

Halloween Fun

Don’t miss the Burns Bog Escape Halloween Ball. The grand opening is on October 14 with the Howloween Festival, featuring face painting, pumpkin carving, hot chocolate and more. And try the Bog Escape throughout October, with family friendly hours from 5-7.

Family Fright Fest is the place to be for halloween fun in Delta, with two events – October 19 in North Delta, and October 25 in Ladner. Come in costume to these community gatherings and be ready for crafts and games, tricks and treats, and a marshmallow roast.

Have fun and support a great cause by participating in the The Great Pumpkin Run Walk on October 22, in beautiful White Rock. This family fun run includes a 1km walk for all ages and abilities, strollers welcome! And stay for the Creative Kids Zone and Haunted House. Proceeds benefit the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
