Spend a leisurely Sunday exploring the bog, sampling the beer and getting outside in some gorgeous urban wilderness.  Locals’ tip – don’t miss the North Delta Farmers Market every Sunday from May to October for one of the best community markets going.

Altmaerker Sausage House + Deli – Stop in to pick up hearty sandwiches for a picnic lunch, and stock up on handmade, gluten-free German style sausage and more. 

Burns BogPeaty paths wend through tall trees and the sounds of the city fade within minutes of entering this oasis. The mix of boardwalk and paths make for a fun walk for all ages, and the springy bog will bounce under your feet. 

Delta Watershed Park – If biking is your family’s activity of choice, the Delta Watershed is an ideal destination with terrain for all levels. Check out this map from Let’s Go Biking. 

Four Winds Brewing Co.This is a not-to-be-missed stop when in North Delta with an extensive list of European and West Coast style craft beer. Located on the bank of the Fraser River, stop by the tasting room for a flight or get a growler fill to go. 

One20 Public HouseWith a strong commitment to sustainable ingredients and supporting local farmers, this gastropub offers a wide array of choices from pub classics to a seasonal fresh sheet, served with craft beer and cocktails. And a kids’ menu for the littlest of diners.
